We’re bringing you our handpicked best of the best events in Whistler happening this week. While there are way too many to be listed, these are just a little snapshot of what we think are great events to check out. Trying to highlight the lesser known events, we bring you our local insight into Whistler this week.

Friday 12th – The 2016 Banff Mountain Film Festival

The best of the 2016 Banff Mountain Film Festival comes to town for 2 days. With movies from all over the world showcasing the best film from the world renowned festival in Banff. With films from all over the world its a great opportunity to spend a rainy night inside and get your adventure stoke on.
Tickets are available for $20 from Millennium Place. It always sells out so get in quick!

Sunday 14th – Music Bingo @ Rolands Pub

For those willing to make the journey to Creekside, a treat awaits. Step into one of Whistler’s true locals hangouts for a night of their famous Music Bingo. Beginning at 8pm, its a fantastic place to play some darts, drinks cold beer and test your musical knowledge with friends.

Monday 15th – All Week – TED Talks 2016 @ Whistler Public Library

The world famous TED Talks is being streamed live to Whistler’s Public Library all week. With this years theme of ‘Dream’, topics covered include things like ‘Deep Memory’, ‘Imagination. Invention. Ingenuity’ and ‘The dreams that define us’ just to name a few. Definitely a great way to spend a rainy day off indoors expanding your mind and learning something new.

Tuesday 16th – The Ultimate Games Night at GLC, Tapleys and Crystal Lounge

We’re not entirely sure how it happened, but it appears that the pub gaming gods have aligned and have blessed us with the ultimate night of Pub funtimes. With Quiz night at the GLC starting at 8pm, Tapleys holding bingo from 9pm, and The Crystal Lounge belting out the most ear-drum bursting tunes until all hours of the morning, there’s plenty of options to keep you entertained!

Wednesday 17th – $5 Wednesdays at Olympic Park

Interested in giving x-c skiing, snowshoeing a go but don’t want it to eat into your day on the hill? Wednedays are the perfect time to try it out at Olympic Park in the Callaghan Valley. For $5 you can cross country ski from 3-9pm until your heart is content. Unfortunately the shuttle from the village doesn’t operate for this night skiing, however the drive is an easy 25min from Whistler village if you have your own transportation.
