Environmentally Friendly Practices
Here at Adara we have been implementing environmentally friendly practices such as:
- Using environmentally friendly cleaning products with no harmful chemicals
- Switched from small, wasteful amenity bottles to larger, fixed bottles.
- Wattstopper installed in all rooms, reducing electricity consumption by up to 30%
- Recycling program implemented in all rooms
- Zero waste coffee and tea
About the Green Key Eco Rating Program
The Green Key Eco-Rating Program is a graduated rating system designed to recognize hotels, motels and resorts that are committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance.
Based on the results of a comprehensive environmental self-assessment, hoteliers are awarded a 1 to 5 Green Key rating and provided with guidance on how to “unlock” opportunities to reduce environmental impacts and operating costs through reduced utility consumption, employee training, and supply chain management.

All guests staying over May long weekend (Victoria Day) and Martin Luther King weekend must be 25 or older. Bookings will not be available online and will have to be booked direct. Photo Identification will be required upon check-in
All reservations made at Adara Hotel require that the guest reserving the room is 18 years of age or older and holds their own valid credit card. This card must be presented at time of check-in. All additional guests in the room must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (25+)
Guests under the age of 21 or group bookings are required to sign a noise and financial liability waiver and leave a $250 deposit via cash or credit card.
Payment, cancellation and refund policy:
Winter November 22nd – December 13th / January 6th – April 21st
Non-refundable payment of the 1st night taken as deposit at time of booking. Remaining balance (if any) taken 30 days before arrival.
Cancelations outside of 30 days will forfeit deposit.
Cancelations inside of 30 days will forfeit full payment.
Summer Season June 21st – September 4th
Full payment taken as deposit at time of booking.
Full refund if cancelled outside 14 days before arrival.
Cancelations inside of 14 days will forfeit full payment.
Bargain Season April 22nd – June 20th / September 5th – November 21st
Full payment taken as deposit at time of booking.
Full refund if cancelled outside 48 hours before arrival.
Cancelations inside of 48 hours will forfeit full payment.
Christmas payment, cancellation and refund policy:
The Christmas period runs from December 14th 2018 to January 5th 2019. This period has different cancellation and refund policies as detailed below:
Minimum 5 night booking required
1st night’s room & tax will be taken at the time of booking as non-refundable deposit
Full payment taken for room & tax 60 days before arrival.
Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival will forfeit deposit.
If cancelling inside 60 days prior to arrival full payment will be forfeit.
Credit cards accepted by Adara Hotel:
Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Pre paid credit cards are not accepted.
$25 + tax per night until 1pm the day of checkout. Should you wish to leave your car with us after 1pm there will be a $10 + tax charge for a half day parking valid until 6pm.
All hotel property is non smoking/vaping including balconies and pool deck. There is a $250 + tax charge for violation of this policy.
As per BC law, no smoking is permitted within 6 meters of the building.
Dogs are welcome for an additional cleaning fee of $15 per night up to a maximum of 2 dogs per room
They must be kept on a leash while in any public area of the hotel and are not permitted in the pool and deck areas.
Dogs are not permitted on hotel furniture and guests must bring bedding for their dog.
Dogs are not to be left unattended at any time including while in the guest room. Should the dog cause any disturbance it is hotel’s right to ask that alternative arrangements be made, and if the dog causes any damage to the hotel property the guest will be responsible for any charges incurred.
Check In & Out
A credit card is required to check-in to the hotel.
A pre-authorization charge of any remaining balance + $50 per night will be put on your credit card at check-in.

Late Check-outs are subject to availability and subject to charge.
