Whistler Cross Country Mountain Biking
Whistler has an amazing network of cross
country mountain bike trails.
From epic single track trails such as the famous Comfortably Numb trails to easy going trails perfect for the beginner around the Lost Lake trails. The cross country mountain bike trails typically open in May but this will be dependent on the snow pack.
The trail network can be roughly divided up into four areas. The Lost Lake trails, North trails, South trails and West side trails.
Lost Lake Mountain Bike Trails
Lost Lake is easily accessible from Whistler Village. Once here you will be in some beautiful forest with stunning mountain views and the lake to enjoy. Tin Pants is the perfect trail for beginners or for families. Pinocchio's Furniture and Fountain of Love are two popular intermediate trails. Lost Lake is also the starting point for the infamous black diamond Comfortably Numb trail.
Whistler North Mountain Bike Trails
In the Alpine Meadows and Emerald subdivisions north of Whistler you will find more epic cross country mountain bike trails. Kill Me Thrill Me is one of Whistler's signature trails and is a must do if you are visiting the area. Other popular trails include Shit Happens and the Green Lake Loop.
Whistler West Mountain Bike Trails
On the west side, you find one of Whistler's most famous trails - A River Runs Through It. This a great example of classic West Coast trail building at its best. Other popular trails on the west side include Whip Me Snip Me and the Flank Trail.
Whistler South Mountain Bike Trails
To the south of Whistler Village, you can find some great beginner and intermediate trails in the Whistler Interpretative Forest. The Riverside trail is also popular and has stunning views of the Cheakamus River. Other must do trails include the trail down to Brandywine Falls.
