Time to break out the creative budding photographer within and become part of history with this growing public online photo collaboration,Whistler Unfiltered. Or, even if creativity is not your forte, you can simply take a moment browse through photos of Whistler Winter through the people's eyes at www.unfiltered.whistler.com
We're all by now familiar with the Twitters and Facebooks, so say hello to the next big thing with the smart phone application 'Instagram'. Using this app you can take photos, jazz the photos up with creative filters and effects, and then 'tag' your friends, location and 'hashtag' your subject.
What is a hashtag? The # symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topics in an internet post. It was originally used by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages and allow people to easily search for posts on a certain subject.
By using the #whistlerunfiltered 'hashtag', you not only have your photo permanently recorded on this unique public photo album but also have the chance to have your photo selected for a feature on their website and win some pretty amazing prizes.
Contribute your own images using the Instagram app, and simply be sure to include the text#whistlerunfilteredin the label when submitting your image. Alternatively search for the#whistlerunfilteredhashtag within the app to scroll through thousands of fellow whistler enthusiast's photos, all in the palm of your hand.
Enjoy, and don't forget to tag a photo of yourself at The Adara Hotel next time you visit using the hashtag #adarahotel.
