Meet Your Maker Marathon

Join us this weekend in Whistler as it plays host to the Salomon Meet Your Maker Marathon. A far cry from the traditional city street marathon this race will be primarily run on single-track hiking, running and biking trails throughout the Whistler backcountry. Competitors will be running up and down mountains, through dense forests and around awe inspiring lakes and glaciers.
The racetrack is 50 KM and covers over 1250 feet of elevation changes throughout the run. Runners will have a chance to take in the beautiful scenery as they push their bodies physical limits.
The event begins this Saturday, September 1 with racer check-in and safety meeting. Following the check-in their will be a dinner and meet and greet. Then on Sunday, September 2 the race is set to begin at 6AM with runners going off in intervals. There are two different formats in which contestants may participate they can choose to run by themselves in the solo format or they can team up in groups as big as 7 people and run together.
