Chemical-Free Green Cleaning

The Adara Hotel is serious about protecting the environment and the health of our guests. This week we began a two week trial period of a revolutionary cleaning product. The Lotus Pro system is a product that supercharges ozone in water, creating an incredible cleaner that is natural, non-toxic and chemical-free.

It is now widely regarded that most conventional commercial and household cleaning products are hazardous to humans and the environment as a whole. With the lotus Chemical-free Cleaning System, the liquefied ozone produced by the device cleans, kills harmful bacteria and viruses, and then reverts back to water and oxygen-without toxic fumes or residues. It kills bacteria in much the same way as a chemical agent in that they both attack the cell wall. However, in the case of this ozone solution, bacterial cells absorb the solution just as they would water, and then ozone ruptures the cell wall from the inside out, destroying the cell. Once these cells are killed, they are suspended within the solution and can easily be removed from the surface with the simple wipe of a clean cloth or mop.

We have a chance to clean cleaner and healthier without the use of chemicals. Our staff will be happier, our guests safer and our carbon footprint will be reduced.

The Adara Hotel has also been awarded a Four Key rating with the Green Key Eco-Rating Program. This is a program designed to recognize hotels, motels and resorts that are committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance.
