New Years Eve in Whistler

Whistler is getting excited to celebrate the start of 2012! The snow is falling and more is in the forecast for the weekend. Not sure where to celebrate New Year's Eve? Here is our list of ideas!

Whistler's First Night

Whistler's New Year's Eve celebration is a family event and is alcohol free. Tickets are required to enjoy all the events happening. There will be a 'bouncy land', youth dance and musical entertainment happening at the Whistler Conference Centre between 7pm and 11p. Visit Millennium Place to see live art by local artists, kid's cartoons, games and enjoy tasty treats.

There will be outdoor ice skating at the Whistler Olympic Plaza and rentals are free with the purchase tickets.

Make sure you are at the Village Square between 11pm and midnight to watch live music with the Funk Hunters and watch an incredible fireworks display.

Advanced tickets are available at the Whistler Visitors Centre, Millennium Place or at Meadow Park Sports Centre. Tickets will also be available in the evening at the Whistler Visitors Centre

Whistler Live Music

There will be lots of live music and special evenings happening at Whistler's pubs and bars. Events include; local duo The Hair farmers will be performing at Merlin's on New Year's Eve. Big Mountain Rhythm will be ringing in the New Year at Tapleys Pub, DJ Chili Thom will be celebrating at the GLC and there will be a Blue Jeans and Black Tie party at Dustys!

New Year's Eve Celebration at Whistler Restaurants

Many of the Whistler restaurants will be offering a special menu and celebrations for New Year's Eve. Why not spend the evening with Whistler Tasting Tours and ring in 2012 in style? There will be a special menu on the Finer Things Tasting tour.
