Whistler Blackcomb – Opening this Friday!!!

Whistler Mountain will be opening for skiing and riding this Friday November 18th! Blackcomb Mountain will be opening on November 24th.
La Nina has returned and the mountains received snow all weekend. The cold temperatures and low freezing levels helped the Whistler/Blackcomb snow making department adding to what Mother Nature has already bought. The base at Pig Alley (1,650 meters on Whistler Mountain) is currently at 60 cm and is growing fast.
On Wednesday the weather forecast is calling for a large storm, with more snow and gusty winds. Light snow flurries and colder temperatures are expected towards the end of the week.
Whistler Mountain will open 8:30am to 3:00pm with upload access from the Creekside Gondola and the Whistler Village Gondola. Lifts opening will be Emerald Express, Big Red Express, and Franz's Chair.
Skiers and boarders are reminded to obey all mountain signage and stay within the marked operational boundary. The terrain available is best-suited for intermediate to advanced boarders and skiers. Guests should be aware of rocks and other hazards below the snow surface due to the early season snow pack.
