The GranFondo Whistler

Time: Bikers arrive in Whistler around 10AM
Where: Whistler Village
The RBC GranFondo Whistler
is a daylong bike race from Vancouver to Whistler.
Competitors will start in downtown Vancouver at the Plaza Centre
and make their way up to Whistler crossing the finish line in the
Whistler Village. From start to finish the course is 122KM
and features over 1700 meters in elevation changes.
For less experienced riders but those still looking to participate there is also the MedioFondo which begins in Squamish and ends in Whistler. This ride is 55KM and covers over 700 meters in elevation changes.
Competitors will also be asked to estimate finishing times or skill levels in order to place them in different packs along the start line. This insures that riders will be able to set their own pace without pressure to get out of the way of others.
Riders are set to take off from Vancouver at 6:45AM with the first bikers expected in Whistler around 10AM.
