As part of the Whistler Presents summer series of
free concerts and entertainment at the Whistler Olympic Plaza,
54-40 will be performing on Saturday evening September
10th. Come and join the celebrations after the finish of the
RBC GranFondo bike ride!
54-40 will hit the stage at 7.30 p.m. These legendary Vancouver rockers will be playing all their hits including "I Go Blind", "Nice to Luv You", "She La", "Ocean Pearl"and "Love You All". 54-40 were formed in the early 80s in Tsawwassen and were a college radio favourite with hits such as One Gun, One Day in Your Life, Ocean Pearl and others. They became famous when their song "I Go Blind" was covered in the mid-1990s by American band Hootie & the Blowfish, and was featured on the first soundtrack to the TV series Friends.
This will provide everyone with a reason to dance and stay warm as the sun drops behind Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
