Crankworx Day 3 Events
Canadian Open
Downhill
As a testament to the technical nature and all out speed of the course, last year's event featured previous World Champion, Sam Hill, going down to the wire for the win. Hammering down steep rock faces and bombing through tight trees, the 2011 Canadian Open will undoubtedly continue to shine as one of the world's premier downhill mountain biking events. The format includes a one time run.
Downhill Course
Start with Joyride, exit to the left and proceed towards the lift tower that is just below the Schleyer drop, continue down the Fitzsimmons Chair lift line, cross Old Olly Road, remain on Fitz Chair lift line to reconnect with Joyride, continue to rock face then cross the Mountain Road below 1.0 mileage marker, across the flats to Monkey Hands, over a new feature to the finish.
Notice: Racers in the Boys 13-15 and Junior Girls 13-18 will be required to ride around the hip/rock drop under the Fitzsimmons Chair and the new road gap feature.
