Set for August 1-4, 2013, the second annual Wanderlust Whistler will see some of the world's top yoga instructors converging in Whistler to soak in our natural beauty and spread the love.
Our pick of the festival would be Moby performing a DJ set in the conference center on saturday.
Heres some of the activities that will be happening over the weekend:
Yoga, Meditation & Speakeasy Lectures
Wanderlust Whistler brings together a selection of local and international teachers, representing a broad spectrum of yoga disciplines. It's a chance to study with new teachers in carefully chosen and lovingly crafted venues. Teachers for the 2013 festival include Seane Corn, Shiva Rea and Rod Stryker.
Explore the connection between nature, yoga and music amongst the stunning natural beauty of the Coast Mountains. Choose from a series of hikes each with a different focus, from live music meditation to explorations of local flora and fauna.
Farm to Table Dinner
Wanderlust Whistler hosts an unforgettable dining experience among breathtaking mountain views at the Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler Mountain. Local farmers and chefs will collaborate to provide a nourishing feast of fresh local food to revitalize the body and mind.
Wanderlust Whistler will feature a unique Kula Market that showcases a selection of exhibitors and not-for-profit organizations that align with the Wanderlust vision. The Kula Market will be located indoors at the Conference Center and will be free and open to the public. Visitors can also take advantage of the Whistler Farmer's Market on Sunday in the Upper Village.
Wanderkind Kids Program
Kids can have a Wanderlust experience all of their own while parents are enjoying the festival. The Wanderkind kids program runs during the day for kids ages 4-10. Activities like yoga, music, hula hooping and arts and crafts are included.
Feast in the Mountains
Feast in the Mountains showcases British Columbia's culinary bounty by transforming Whistler's Olympic Plaza into a roaming gourmet sampling of local foods prepared by Whistler's best dining establishments. Vendors included award-winning chefs, farmers, food artisans, vintners and brewers.
