When the weather in Whistler isn't cooperating head indoors and try one of these Whistler activities.
The Core Climbing & Fitness Facility
Whistler's Core Fitness features a 5500 square-foot indoor climbing wall accessible to climbers of all ages and abilities. For the more experienced climbers check out our advanced routes with steep overhangs and tricky slab climbs and for our younger or less experienced climbers check out intermediate and kids friendly routes. If climbing is something you've never tried but always wanted to get started why not take a lesson from one of the experienced instructors at the Core. Lessons can range from private one on ones to group lessons for you and a group of friends. Drop-in sessions start at $17.50 for adults to $12 for kids, rental equipment is also available for those in need of gear. Whistler Brewing Company Tour
The Whistler Brewing Company has been serving thirsty patrons since 1989 and since that time has been 100% B.C brewed and B.C owned. Tuesday through Saturday come and join them between 2:30 to 4PM for a guided tour around the factory. Sample all their current brews in circulation and learn about the local factory and brewing process. The tour only costs $12.95 and includes a $5 voucher for their retail store. This can't miss deal and experience is the perfect way to spend a gloomy day and could be the perfect way to jump off the rest of the evening. The brewery is located on the south side of Whistler at 1045 Millar Creek Road in Function Junction.
Meadow Park Sports Centre
Whistler's Sports & Leisure hub The Meadow Park Sports Centre is home to wide selection of amenities including: six lane pool, kid's pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, weight room and workout facility, squash court and full sized arena. Meadow Park is the perfect place for you and your family to spend a fun filled day indoors while the weather outside is frightful. Enjoy a day of swimming at the beautiful indoor pool and children's pool or head over to the neighbouring arena for a public skate or drop-in hockey game. Meadow Park is also surrounded by baseball fields, a water park, neighbouring park and picnic spots for days to nice to be inside. Air Dome at the Whistler Bike Park
The Air Dome is an 8400 square-foot covered indoor bike training facility located right beside the Whistler Bike Park. The park features a series of wooden jumps and ramps, a 26 foot quarter pipe all surrounding the most popular feature of the park a huge foam pit. This is the perfect place for you and your friends to escape the rainy weather and perfect your extreme bike techniques. Downhill, Slopestyle, Dirt Jump and BMX bikes are all welcome at the dome. A three hour session at the dome costs $18 dollars and for those without a bike a Kona Cowan DJ including helmet can be rented for $25. The Air Dome is limited to only 30 riders at a time so be aware that on rainy days the park is susceptible to long waits. The Air Dome is located at Lot 8 in the Whistler Day Lot not far from the Whistler Village and only minutes away from the Adara Whistler Hotel.
