5 Free Things to Do in Whistler this Fall

Fall is fast approaching and this is a wonderful time of the year to visit Whistler. Enjoy the cool, crisp mountain air and admire the leaves as they change colour to hues of gold and red. If you are thinking of visiting Whistler, here is our list of five (free!) things to do.
1. Discover Whistler via the Valley Trail.
The Valley Trail is a network of 40kms of paved and accessible trails that link Whistler's neighbourhoods, lakes and parks. Ride your bike, rollerblade or walk the trails. This is a great way to seen the falls colours and explore different parts of Whistler.
2. Explore Whistler's Art Galleries
Whistler is home to a number of art galleries located throughout the Village, Village North and Upper Village. Galleries include the Adele Campbell Fine Art Gallery, Black Tusk Gallery, Hayden Beck Gallery, Mark Richards Gallery, Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont, The Path Gallery, The Plaza Galleries and The Whistler Village Art Gallery.
3. Visit the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre
The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre is located in the Upper Village just across from the Four Seasons Resort. Discover the history and culture of the local First Nations. Explore the exhibits, workshops, museum, guided & self-guided tours, theatre, gift shop and gallery. Be sure to check out the outside exhibits as well including the traditional Squamish longhouse, traditional Lil'wat pit house and forest walk. Every Tuesday throughout the winter admission to the exhibits and galleries will be by donation. The gift shop and café can be accessed without paying the admission fee to the centre.
4. Visit the Whistler Public Library
The Whistler Public Library is located on Main Street in the heart of Whistler. This is a great place to relax and read a book or use the public access computers. The library also has wireless internet. There are a number of weekly programs for children including Singing with the Babies, Toddler Story Time and Drop-in Family Store Time.
5. Free Hip Hop and Yoga classes!
Lululemon Whistler offers complimentary Hip Hop classes on Wednesday evenings from 8:30pm-9:30pm in the Store at Mountain Square. There will also be complimentary yoga class on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8:00am - 9:00am! Lululemon supply the mat, you supply the body!
