Are you looking for the ultimate Whistler adventure this winter? Heliskiing and boarding is one thing that just has to be done. Imagine untouched powder, no lift lines and a heart pounding and thrilling adventure. Heliskiing is a once in a life time experience that you will always remember.
This winter experience heliskiing or heliboarding with Coast Range Heliskiing. They offer the 'Ultimate Backcountry Powder Experience'. With only four to five guests to each guide, you can be guaranteed more skiing, less waiting and 100% satisfaction! They offer a friendly, personal service and they promise the best powder and the best guides.
Many people have misconceptions about heliskiing, such as "...I'm not a good enough skier to go heliskiing...' or '...I don't want to jump out of a helicopter and ski extreme terrain...'. There are many myths surrounding heli skiing. If you can ski or ride comfortably on a blue (intermediate) run and are in good shape, then you can go heliskiing. Coast Range Heliskiing caters to expert, advanced and intermediate skiers and riders. The pace of the day and terrain is suited to the group's ability. On each heliskiing day, groups are split based on ability. The faster skiers and riders can move at a pace that suits them and the slower groups move at a pace comfortable to them. And no you don't have to jump out of the helicopter! The helicopter will land at the top of the heli-ski runs to allow all skiers to exit the helicopter. The guide will then unload the skis, poles, and snowboards.
Coast Range Heliskiing can access an area of over 200,000 acres of terrain! Each day is different and factors such as fog, wind, snow stability, solar radiation, group abilities, and conditions for flying will determine where to ski that day. On a beautiful sunny, clear day with the right wind conditions the helicopter can access the high alpine terrain which can offer ski runs of over 4,000 feet in vertical length. On days when the high alpine terrain cannot be accessed there are some amazing sub-alpine and tree skiing available. These ski runs are typically of 1,500 to 2,500 feet in vertical length and often offer some of the best powder snow conditions.
A variety of heliskiing and heliboarding packages are available from Coast Range Heliskiing including single or multi-day excursions. All packages include transportation to and from Whistler, a light continental breakfast, gourmet lunch, photo/video service, après and personal safety gear. Powder ski rentals are also available for an additional cost.
