Paging Paul McCartney - This is Whistler Calling

Whistler, B.C. - Famed former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney is one of several big stars to receive an invitation to stay at Whistler's Adara Hotel.

For his role at this year's Grammy's, Sir Paul - and other presenters and performers - will receive a gift certificate to stay at Whistler's Adara Hotel, as part of a Gift Bag of fabulous presents selected by the event's organizers.

The trendy and unique hotel, which opened January 27th, has issued 170 gift certificates.

" We were thrilled that we were chosen to be included in this year's Grammy goodie bag," said Adara General Manager Eric Christensen. “We hope as many of these stars as possible will take us up on our offer to spend time in Whistler at our wonderful property.”

Other stars who have a been invited include Destiny's Child, Teri Hatcher, Jenna Elffman, Chris Brown, James Taler, Ellen DeGeneres, Lance Armstrong, Bonnie Raitt and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

With 41 guest rooms and suites, Adara is Whistler's first and only designer boutique hotel offering visitors to North America's number one ski resort a chance to unwind in intimate personal surroundings.

Each room or suite features unique elements such as an iHome clock radio and stereo with iPod docking station and a 'floating' fireplace - a fireplace built into a custom designed cabinet that is modeled to look as if it floats in mid air.

The rooms, many of which feature sweeping views of the mountains, feature indulgent spa bathrooms with rain showers and Fresh bath and body products. The larger suites have flat screen TVs and patios and some have full kitchens.

Use of natural materials such as wood and stone augment the beauty of the surrounding landscape, while Adara's European-inspired interior design is complemented with sheepskin throws, abstract art and other chic elements that contrast the traditional lodge ambience.
