As we move into June, the transition from spring to summer is nearly complete. The trees are bursting with colour, the lakes are warm and the sun is generally shining. What’s more, this exciting time of year is filled with lots of fun things to do. From marathons to markets, there is no shortage of activities. Mark your calendars for some of these anticipated events and get ready to experience June in Whistler!

ThinkBike Whistler

DATE: June 1st- June 4th

Formally known as Outerbike, for four days the world’s leading bike and gear manufacturers will be set an expo site at Whistler Village. Here you will be able to test out the latest gear and demo the freshest bikes on the local trails or in the Whistler Bike Park. The price of admission covers a park pass, guided trail rides, lunches, parties and beer. Attendance is capped, so sign up now!

Whistler Concert Series

DATE: May 19th- September 10th

Enjoy free outdoor concerts at the Olympic Plaza. Concerts dates usually fall between Thursday and Sunday.

The North Face Whistler Half Marathon

DATE: June 3rd

Take in the beauty of Whistler by foot during the North Face Whistler Half Marathon. Choose from four distances: a 21.1km half marathon, 30 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 1 km kids run. The gentle course provides a great running experience and the lively atmosphere will keep you motivated as well as smiling the entire time!

Tough Mudder Whistler

DATE: June 17th- June 18th

The infamous Tough Mudder Course is set over 16-20km and features 20+ obstacles to tackle. Many of the obstacles have received brand new 2017 upgrades so don’t expect it to be anything like the year prior. Grab a team and get ready to see what you’re made of!

Arts Whistler Presents The Chili Thom Experience

DATE: June 2nd- June 26th

Chill Thom was a beloved Whistler local and incredible artist. See his dreamy landscapes and alternate perspectives on nature in an exhibition at the Audain Art Museum. Keeping with the artist’s free spirit, entry to this exhibit is free of charge.

Whistler Farmer’s Market

DATE: Every Sunday

The Whistler Farmer’s Market takes place in Upper Village. Here you will be able to find local produce, food and artisan goods. Entertainment and family activities will also be taking place along the stroll throughout the day.

Whistler Multicultural Festival

DATE: June 9th

Visit Florence Petersen Park at the Whistler Public Library and Whistler Museum to celebrate Whistler’s multicultural community. The Festival showcases local cultures, food, music, crafts, arts, games, toys and sports. There will be activities, displays, demonstrations and performances. This event is free of charge.
