Fire and Ice Show

Date: December 17th and every Sunday after.

Location: Skier’s Plaza | Time: 6:30 PM

The first Fire and Ice Show of the season kick off on December 17th and continues every Sunday after that for the rest of the winter season. This free outdoor show features local ski and snowboard athletes showing off their big air skills, fire spinners, live DJs and for the grand finale, a fireworks display. Make sure to dress warm!

Santa Skate

Date: December 17th

Location: Whistler Olympic Plaza | Time: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Santa has made his way to the Whistler Olympic Plaza Skating rink! There will be hot chocolate, snacks, and holiday crafts. Don’t worry if you don’t have skates, rentals are available for $6.00.

Family Apres

Date: December 18th and 20th

Location: Whistler Olympic Plaza | Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

After a day on the hill, the fun doesn’t have to stop. Head over to the Olympic Plaza for Family Apres. Here, the whole family can enjoy music, entertainers, and other winter activities.

Canada 150 Winter Solstice Celebrations – Lantern Parade

Date: December 21st

Location: Maury Young Arts Centre | Time: 5:00 PM

Come celebrate Canada’s 150 in the Winter Solstice Lantern parade. Bring your lanterns and join in a night of lanterns, lights, and entertainment to brighten the darkest day of the year, Winter Solstice. The parade starts at the Maury Young Arts Centre at 5 PM and will travel through the Village along the Cultural Connector route. There will also be live music, entertainers, and activities for the whole family on the Village Stroll by Whistler Olympic Plaza.

Tour & Craft- Holiday Dream Catcher

Date: December 23rd

Location: Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre | Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Visit Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre for a tour and an afternoon of crafting. The afternoon starts with a song, followed by an inspirational 15-minute film and guided tour through the museum. Next, you travel to the longhouse to craft a dream catcher with feathers, beads, sinew and a suede wrapped hoop. Reservations required.

Christmas Eve Carol Service

Date: December 24th

Location: TBA

Hosted by the Whistler Children’s Chorus and Whistler Singers, this interdenominational celebration features traditional carols and choral music sung by the choirs.
