Everyone is planning their vacations these days, trying to get the best deal. For some of us, planning ahead is very stressful especially since there is always a chance that we may need to cancel. Recently, there have been some changes to the Adara Hotel’s reservation policy. Our reservation policy is intended to protect the hotel and our guests from disappointment. If you are interested in booking during a peak time we highly recommend booking early as we do fill up quickly. Below is our updated policy.

Trip Cancellation and Interruption Service

Trips get canceled, plans change and luggage can go missing. Taking a trip is all about planning and preparation. Trip cancellation and interruption insurance can help you protect your investment by helping cover your pre-paid expenses, in re-organizing your travel plans, and recover lost, damaged or stolen luggage. Here is a list of insurance providers you may want to contact:

Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy by Season:

Winter Season (November 22nd – December 13th /January 6th – April 21st) Deposit policy:

  • A non-refundable deposit of one (1) night’s room charge and tax will be taken at the
    time of the booking.
  • The remaining balance (if any) will be charged 30 days before arrival.
  • If the reservation or booking is made inside of 30 days the full amount will be
    charged to your CC at that time.

Cancellation/Refund Policy during this time period:

  • If the booking is canceled outside 30 days the deposit is non-refundable.
  •  If the booking is canceled inside 30 days (after full payment has been taken) it is
    non-refundable. A cancellation number will be issued at the time of notification.

Festive Season (December 14th – January 5th) Deposit policy:

  • Please note that a minimum 5-night stay is required during the festive season.
  • A non-refundable deposit of one (1) night’s room charge and tax will be taken at the
    time of the booking.
  • The remaining balance (if any) will be charged 60 days before arrival.
  • If the reservation or booking is made inside of 60 days the full amount will be charged to your CC at that time.

Cancellation/Refund Policy during this time period:

  • If the booking is canceled outside 60 days the deposit is non-refundable
  •  If the booking is canceled inside 60 days (after full payment has been taken) it is non-refundable. A cancellation number will be issued at the time of notification

Summer Season (June 21st – September 4th) Deposit policy

  • Full payment is taken at the time of booking

Cancellation/Refund Policy during this time period:

  • A full refund is provided if the reservation is canceled outside 14 days before arrival.
  • If the reservation is canceled within 14 days prior to your arrival date the deposit is non-refundable.

Between Seasons (April 22nd – June 20th and September 5th – November 21st) Deposit policy:

  • Full payment is taken at the time of booking

Cancellation/Refund Policy during this time period:

  • A full refund is provided when the reservation is canceled outside of 48 hours before
    arrival.
  •  If the reservation is canceled within 48 hours before your scheduled arrival the
    deposit is non-refundable.

Please Note:

  • A cancellation fee applies if any part of the reservation is canceled, either before arrival
    date or during the stay.
  • No shows and early departures are regarded as a cancellation and the hotel will charge full penalty.

Age requirements:

  • All reservations made at the Adara Hotel require that the guest reserving the room is 18
    years of age or older and holds their own valid credit card. This card must be presented at
    time of check-in.  All additional guests in the room must be 18 years of age or older
    unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (age 25+).
  • All guests staying over May long weekend and Martin Luther King weekend must be 25
    or older. Bookings will not be available online and will have to be booked directly by
    phone or on Adara’s website.
  • Photo Identification is required upon check-in
  • Guests under the age of 21 and group bookings are required to sign Adara’s Noise and
    Financial Liability Waiver and leave a $250 deposit in cash or by credit card.

Extra Person Charge:

  • Our rates are based on 1 or 2 guests per room.
  • Extra persons are charged at $25.00 plus tax per person per night.
  • Extra person charges do not apply for children under 18 years of age staying with their parents.
  • Unregistered guests found in rooms will result in eviction and any prepayments will be forfeited.

Pet Policy:

  • Dogs only please.
  • Dogs are welcome for an additional fee of $10.00 plus tax per night.
  • They must be kept on a leash while in any public area of the hotel and are not permitted in the pool and deck areas.
  • Dogs cannot be left unattended at any time while in the hotel.
  • Should the dog cause any disturbance it is the hotel’s right to ask the owner to make alternative arrangements.
  •  If the dog causes any damage to the hotel property, the owner will be responsible for any charges incurred.
  • Returning guest dogs stay for free.

Credit cards accepted by Adara Hotel:

  • Your credit card will be required at check-in, at this time a hold will be placed on the card as a
    damage security and for any incidentals
  • A valid credit card must be provided at time of reservation.
  • Visa, MasterCard, Discovery and American Express.
  • Pre paid credit cards and debit cards are not accepted.

Parking:

  • The Adara has limited parking space and therefore only Valet Parking is permitted.
  • Valet parking is available for $25 + tax per night until 1pm the day of checkout.
  • Should you wish to leave your car with us after 1pm there will be a $10 + tax charge for a half day parking valid until 6pm only.

No Smoking Policy:

  • All our rooms and balconies are 100% non-smoking and includes vaping.
  • A fee of $250.00 will be charged for violation of this policy.
  • As per BC law, no smoking is permitted within 3 meters of the building.
